Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to join our Richmond team. You will perform field observations, inspections, and testing across varied construction materials, including structural steel, and may engage in NDT tasks with rigorous documentation standards.

Requirements include 2+ years of related experience, a High School diploma or GED, and possession or willingness to obtain two specialty certifications. Lifting requirements and a valid driver’s license are also required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 relevant specialty certifications from NRC, NICET, WACEL, ACI, IFC, AWS, ASNT, ASTM or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times daily and up to 85 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction plans.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• NDE capability if focused on NDE testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steel placement.
• Inspect structural and reinforcing steel and welded or bolted connections using industry-standard methods.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and admin duties.
• Maintain communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
