Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Dallas seeks an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / Specialty Technician to join our team. You will perform field observations, inspections, and testing on diverse projects, including potential NDT/NDE tasks, with growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, ASNT NDT Level II and additional certifications, and strong communication skills. Expect active collaboration with project teams in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• ASNT NDT Level II certification(s) and at least 2 additional advanced industry certifications.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Must be able to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times a day, occasionally 85 lbs.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Proficient with MS Office and able to read engineering/construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials and structural steel placement.
• Conduct routine observations of structural steel and reinforcing steel using various testing methodologies; document results per standards.
• Perform data calculation and reduction from sampling/test results; assist in drafting and admin duties.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers; attend meetings and relay test results.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and mentor other technicians.
