Job summary

Image Associates Inc. is hiring Certified Welding Inspectors for an on-site role in either Western Tennessee or the Florence, SC area. The position offers a four-day work week (10 hours/day) with day and night shifts and pays $35-40 per hour.

Relocation assistance is available as candidates may relocate to Tennessee or South Carolina. You will inspect fabricated steel assemblies, read drawings, and document all manufacturing processes while leveraging GMAW spray transfer welding and related

Qualifications

• AWS CWI Certification and at least three years’ experience in inspecting fabricated steel.
• Ability to identify cracks, corrosion, faulty welds affecting structural integrity.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings; proficiency with MS Office for reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site testing and inspection of fabricated steel assemblies.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Document manufacturing processes including Cutting, punching, stamping, welding and paint.
• Support with testing methods such as Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Visual and Ultrasonic (NDI) as needed.

Job description

Manufacturing company that makes fabricated steel products needs Certified Welding Inspectors, also called CWI. This is a completely on-site position. The company provides wonderful benefits. You would work a four-day work week, 10 hours a day. Day and night positions are available. $35-40 per hour. This is an onsite position in your choice of either Western Tennessee or the Florence, SC area.

I am advertising to find people who might relocate to Tennessee or to South Carolina. Relocation assistance is available.

• You will be responsible for onsite testing and inspection of fabricated steel assemblies designed to support heavy loads.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Constant floor inspection and documentation of all manufacturing processes including Cutting, punching, shearing stamping, notching, welding and paint.
• The welding process is a GMAW Spray Transfer process.
• All necessary testing and personal protection equipment will be provided by the company
• Maintain daily inspection records
• Should be experienced in inspection and test of structures and welds.
• Experience with Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Visual, and Ultrasonic inspection (NDI) preferred.

Requirements

• AWS CWI Certification. Certified Welding Inspector with at least three years’ experience. This is a position in manufacturing, but will consider people with construction, civil engineering, defense, marine, or aerospace experience.
• Must be able to identify components having cracks, corrosion, faulty welds, or other defects that would affect structural integrity.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings or blueprints. Proficiency with MS Office software and the ability to produce reports in desired formats is a must.

This job pays $35-40 an hour.
