Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a manufacturing facility in Tennessee focused on structural racking systems. The role involves ongoing inspection and documentation to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and internal QA requirements.

You will inspect cutting, punches, welding, and painting processes, review WPS/PQRs, prepare WQRs and PQRs, and support QA manuals. Travel may be required; first or second shift options with four 10-hour days.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification and experience in welding inspection.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code.
• Minimum 5 years welding experience in manufacturing.
• Excellent documentation and QA skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily floor and weld inspections, review WPS/PQRs.
• Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and QA requirements.
• Conduct welder certification testing per AWS D1.1.
• Prepare and maintain WQRs, PQRs, WPSs, and inspection records.
• Monitor qualifications and verify equipment functionality.
• Interpret fabrication drawings for inspection activities.
• Travel as needed.
