Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for our Charlotte, NC office. You will perform structural building inspections and QA/QC tests across masonry, reinforced concrete, and structural steel projects, ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.

The role requires current AWS CWI certification; ICC certifications in masonry/steel/concrete are a plus. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.

Job description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for our Charlotte, NC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

• Current AWS CWI is required
• ICC certifications in Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete are a plus
