Hunter Engineering Inc. in Durant, MS is seeking a Certified Welder to join our team. The role involves welding, fabricating and repairing products per drawings, with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Starting wage is $28.15 per hour with opportunities for advancement and occasional overtime. Candidates should have at least one year of welding experience and be able to read blueprints and measurement tools. Training and certification may be provided to meet D1.1 standards.

Formación

• One year of welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Must be able to read a tape measure, 6" scale, and a combination square.
• Must read and comprehend blueprints.
• Must pass Hunter’s D1.1 certification test.
• Must correctly fit and weld parts to design tolerances.
• Must supply own welding helmet and basic measuring tools.

Responsabilidades

• Observe and follow all safety rules.
• Work overtime as needed, weekends or extended days.
• Position, align, fit, and weld components per drawings.
• Inspect welds for size, location, and conformance to drawings.
• Repair defective welds and build up metal parts as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• May train other operators.
