Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Must read blueprints and read measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld metal components to design tolerances.
• Select torch, tip, filler rod and flux according to welding chart specifications.
• Connect regulator valves and hoses to cylinders and welding torch.
• Light torch and adjust gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
• Holds torch at proper angle and guides along weld joint, applying filler rod.
