Job summary

Rule 5 Hire seeks a Certified Welder/Fabricator to join their Oakland team. The role involves reading blueprints, planning layouts, and fabricating custom machinery per specifications.

It requires proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes and the ability to operate shop equipment safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple welding positions (1G-4G preferred), have a relevant apprenticeship or 3+ years of experience, and be capable of using electrical or manual tools.

Qualifications

• Proven welder with experience in MIG, Arc, and other processes.
• Experience with heavy plate welding and multiple positions.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and weld symbols.
• Commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
• Fabricate and assemble machinery and projects per specs.
• Set up components for welding according to measurements.
• Operate fabrication equipment and ensure safety.
• Inspect welded surfaces for flaws and reliability.
• Assist in equipment prep for painting and shipping as needed.
