Job summary

Custom Pipe and Fabrication is seeking a Welder II to perform complex welding tasks, interpret blueprints and specifications, and maintain high-quality welds across steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron.

The role requires understanding welding techniques (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW), following prints, and working with minimal supervision in a loud industrial environment; candidates should be able to stand for long periods and operate cranes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AWS D1.1 and ASME Section 9.
• Fluent in Level I requirements.
• Knowledge and experience in multiple welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding on diverse materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
• Weld and fabricate flanges and fittings to customer specs.
• Read column, head, MS, barrel, prints.
• Maintain welding equipment and report issues.
• Monitor processes to prevent defects and ensure safety.
• Assist in training Welder I employees.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Meet on-time production and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
