Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced structural and architectural steel welder and installer for our Bay Area projects. The role involves precise welding, layout, and fabrication on high-end residential builds, with opportunities to grow in a technically complex environment.

Requirements include 5+ years welding, ability to read drawings, and certification in SMAW/FCAW is a plus. Expect travel to various San Jose-area sites and Monterey, with full-time on-site work and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Experience with multiple welding element processes.
• Certification in SMAW and FCAW is a plus.
• CNC plasma cutting machines experience is a plus.
• Ability to read architectural/structural/fabrication drawings.
• Accurate material prep, layout, and measurements.
• Knowledge of steel erection and field welding.
• Work with a variety of metals.
• Familiarity with welding machines, shop and lift equipment.
• Familiarity with torches, punches, grinders, drills and other power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Reliable, on-time with strong work ethic.
• Able to work at heights.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Clean DMV.

Responsibilities

• Provide layout, assembly, and welding using geometry and material properties.
• Responsible for fabrication and installation.
• Load/unload steel materials on/off job sites with equipment.
• Care for tools and equipment.
• Work in all positions and varying conditions.
• Identify safety risks and requirements.
• Be a team-player and support coworkers.
• Familiar with general construction equipment, tools and components.
• Travel to sites in San Jose, mid-peninsula, SF, Monterey.
