Zusammenfassung

AVANTech, LLC is seeking an experienced NDE Technician/Certified Weld Inspector to join our team in Columbia, SC. This full-time, on-site role requires performing weld inspections, NDE, and dimensional checks, with a focus on ensuring compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

The ideal candidate has a CWI and knowledge of NDE methods, and will assist in implementing AVANTech’s NQA-1 Quality Control Program. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of experience as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI).
• Additional nondestructive certification (PT, MT) a plus.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.

ASME Section VIII pressure vessels, nuclear process equipment, water treatment systems as well as specialized systems for selective removal of radioactivity, boric acid purification and various contaminants of concern applications.

What Will Set You Up for Success:

• Ability to perform day-to-day NDE activates.
• Knowledge of Visual examination of materials,structures, or components for signs of corrosion, metal fatigue, cracks, orother flaws
• Capable of executing inspection plans for pressurevessels, piping, and fabricated equipment.
• Understanding, interpreting, and reviewing ofengineering drawings, as required
• Documenting non-destructive examination methods,processes, and results
• Interpreting inspection results in accordance withapplicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures
• Preparing inspection reports and communicatingfindings to appropriate parties.

A Day in the Life:

• Weld Inspections/NDE and dimensional inspections.
• Verify MaterialTesting and Documentation
• Surveillance of Fabrication and Quality Controls
• Ensuring all applicable paperwork is accurate and complete
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing AVANTech’s NQA-1 Quality Control Program

Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
• Additional nondestructive certification (PT, MT, et.) a plus
• Previouswelding experience a plus.
• The successful Certified Weld Inspector must be proficient in all MS Office products
• Candidate must be capable of visually inspecting structural steel, piping, and pressure vessels internals.
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
• All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigation.
