Job summary

AVANTech, LLC in Columbia, SC is seeking an NDE Technician to join our team. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt role involves performing VT, MT, PT inspections and evaluating results to ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include documenting inspection findings, reading blueprints, and communicating with customers and team members. Relocation is available for qualified candidates and a rich benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• Current or previous Level II certifications in VT, MT, and PT preferred.
• RT or UT Level II experience/certifications is a plus.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and inspection procedures.

• Perform nondestructive examinations in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Conduct VT, MT, and PT inspections on welds, structural components, piping, and fabricated assemblies.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results accurately.
• Prepare clear and detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and site-specific requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Assist with additional inspection methods as qualified and required.

• Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) - Level II preferred
• Radiographic Testing (RT) - Level II is a strong plus
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - Level II is a strong plus
