Job summary

Project Solutions, Inc. seeks a hands-on Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to operate and maintain the facility in Box Elder, SD, ensuring safe, efficient and economical treatment of wastewater.

You will implement policies from corporate management, comply with state and federal regulations, run plant rounds, adjust pumps and equipment, and keep logs and reports up to date, with on-call duties and weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check to access the facility.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Water and Wastewater Certification required or to be obtained.
• Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant rounds; inspect, monitor, troubleshoot, test and document processes.
• Operate and adjust pumps, motors, feeders and other equipment to maintain operations.
• Maintain logs and perform calculations related to plant activity.
• Mix and apply treatment chemicals per regulations.
• Repair and service plant machinery and equipment.
• Collect samples and perform routine wastewater lab tests; monitor results.
• Perform general facility maintenance and grounds duties.
• Communicate effectively with PSI staff and onsite teams.
• Attend meetings and on-call duties as required.
