About the Hospital
We offer 24/7 emergency and urgent care for dogs and cats in Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Our specialties include critical care, internal medicine, oncology, and surgery. We also provide mobile veterinary surgery services through Front Range Mobile Surgical Specialists. When your pet is experiencing an emergency, seconds can make a difference – and we are here for you!
Our highly-trained team of emergency veterinarians, technicians, and support staff are available 24/7, every day of the year. We work closely with your family veterinarian to ensure continuity of care and the best outcomes for your pet. About You
As a Veterinary Technician, CVT, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will include outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, surgery assistance, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Active LVT/RVT or CVT license
- Experience in Surgery; experience in specialty/ER is encouraged to apply
- Advanced knowledge in anesthesia and analgesia (positive pressure ventilation, capnography, invasive blood pressure monitoring) and familiarity with surgical procedures and equipment
- Positive work attitude

Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
- Assist with surgeries and procedures following your state's Veterinary Practice Act
- Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments
- Maintain accurate medical records with practice systems
- Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
- Use safe restraining techniques and follow protocols to keep treatment areas clean and sterile
- Support and mentor fellow team members
