Job description

Are you an experienced CVT looking for the ideal job to support work-life balance, with no weekend or overnight duties? Are you a new technical graduate looking for a supportive group to help you develop your skillset? If so, the Keystone Veterinary Care team located in State College, PA has the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assisting our team of Veterinarians during examinations, providing appropriate restraint as needed to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  2. Preparing and administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the Veterinarian.
  3. Monitoring and caring for anesthetic patients.
  4. Obtaining radiographs with proper positioning and techniques.
  5. Performing laboratory tests on blood, urine, and feces.
  6. Maintaining a clean working environment for all team members.
  7. Collaborating with Veterinarians to ensure continuous patient care.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle and control aggressive animals effectively.
  • Capability to manage the physical and emotional aspects of veterinary work, including end-of-life care.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and growth.
  • Active listening, critical thinking, complex problem-solving, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
