We also have employees who have been with us for over 2 decades and clients for generations. Malvern is a full-services companion animal clinic located in Chester County, PA. Our experienced and enthusiastic team provides the best medical, surgical, and dental care for their patients. Malvern sees dogs, cats, exotics, and wildlife! We are expanding our practice, continually educating ourselves, updating our equipment and learning from our patients.


Veterinary Technician

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  1. Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
  2. Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
  3. Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
  4. Perform physical assessments and record your observations
  5. Keep furry friends calm and still during procedures (sometimes using chin scratches!)
  6. Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients
  7. Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
  8. Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
  9. Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids)
  10. Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

REQUIREMENTS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
  3. Prior leadership or management experience required
  4. Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
  5. Diagnostics (Radiographs, ECG, Blood Pressure, Venipuncture)
  6. Placing IV Catheters
  7. Administering treatments
  8. Assisting and monitoring patients during surgery
  9. Providing emergency and critical care to patients
