Qualifications

  • Certified veterinary technician required with 1+ year experience preferred but not required.
  • Open to new graduates from an AVMA accredited program waiting to take VTNE.
  • Paperless practice: digital records and computer-based workflows.
  • Strong customer service and precise communication.

Responsibilities

  • Phlebotomy, catheter placement, cystocentesis, fine-needle aspirates.
  • Animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical prep.
  • Perform treatments during appointments and provide stellar patient care.
  • Maintain accurate client records and hospital workflows.
  • Restrain pets in a low-stress, safe manner.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Our Treatment Technicians are responsible forphlebotomy, catheter placement, cystocentesis, fine‑needle aspirates, animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, running treatments on our appointments and stellar patient care. Our ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and excellent customer care skills. You must also be thoughtful, friendly, curious, responsible, punctual, and have a strong desire to learn!

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
  • A certified veterinary technician, 1+ year experience preferred but not required
    • We are open to new graduates from an AVMA accredited program that are waiting to take the VTNE
  • Top‑notch technical skills!
  • Ability to arrive on‑time and ready to work
  • Computer skills a must! We are apaperlesspractice!
  • Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
  • Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
  • Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow
  • Ability to restrain pets in a low‑stress and safe manner
  • Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
  • Ability to properly set‑up and process laboratory samples and tests, preferred but not required
  • Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
  • Proficient in anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery
  • A self‑starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
  • Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital
