Stonecliff Animal Clinic in New Hampshire is seeking a dedicated veterinary technician to join our growing, multi-doctor general practice. You will handle animal restraint, triage, lab work, imaging, nursing care, anesthesia, and surgical assistance in a state-of-the-art facility.

We value teamwork, excellent client communication, and a strong work ethic as we provide top-notch care across preventative and complex services.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified veterinary technician with 1+ year experience preferred.
• VTNE eligible with reimbursement option.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to arrive on time and work Saturdays.
• Experience with preventative care, surgeries, and hospital flow.

Responsibilities

• Restrain animals and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples; perform diagnostic imaging.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases.
• Administer medications and communicate treatment plans to clients.
• Assist in surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring.

Stonecliff Animal Clinic of New Hampshire is a multi-doctor, full-service general practice providing the highest quality veterinary medicine since 1990. We are the sister hospital to Dr. Dan Kelly’s Stonecliff Veterinary Surgical Center. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• A certifiedveterinary technician, 1+ year experience preferred but not required-we are always happy to teach and improveskills!
  • If you are not licensed but is VTNE eligible, we are offeringVTNE Test Fee Reimbursement!

• Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
• Saturday availability
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
• Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
• Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
• Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
• Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
• Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
• Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs,positioning for dental radiographs are a plus
• Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
• A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
• Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

Pay Range:$20 - $32/hr depending on level of experience
