Job description

We are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician at The Center for Animal Wellness to join our expanding team and help us provide exceptional experiences. By joining our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you will have access to a peer network of over 5,000 individuals, continuing education allowances, and learning and development programs to support you in achieving your career goals.

Position Skills:

1. Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms
2. Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
3. Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members
4. Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring
5. Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

1. Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
2. Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
