Job summary

Animal Hospital of Colorado is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our caring veterinary team in Fort Collins. The role supports veterinarians with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, lab work, nursing, and client education.

A sign-on bonus is available and compensation ranges from $24 to $26 per hour depending on experience. We foster a community-focused practice, partner with local rescues, and prioritize meaningful client relationships.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a credentialed veterinary technician.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including PPE.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Basic math for calculating medication dosages.
• Strong communication skills for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine and surgery and other tasks as needed.
• Assist outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights; educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during surgery.
• Obtain blood, stool and other samples; perform in-hospital lab testing.
• Take and maintain radiographs following safety procedures.
• Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams.
• Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments.
• Clean and restock exam rooms and assist team to keep areas clean.
• Exhibit warmth, courtesy and professionalism in all client interactions.
