Job summary
West Denver Veterinary Hospital & Wellness in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. The role involves client communication, diagnostic testing, imaging, anesthesia support, and nursing care in a full-service small animal practice.
We offer a 5,000 USD sign-on bonus and a schedule of Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM with every-other-Saturday coverage, supporting work-life balance while providing high-quality care to pets and their families.
Qualifications
- CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT certification or licensure required, or ability to transfer credentials between states.
- Proficiency in client communication and education during patient intake and visits.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients professionally and document medical histories and symptoms.
- Perform lab work including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry and fecal testing.
- Carry out diagnostic imaging and follow safety protocols for staff and patients.
- Provide nursing care: restraining, administering medications (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM), bandaging, IV access, venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring.
- Assist with dental prophylaxis and routine procedures.
