Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Surgical Tech for the Panama City, FL area to support the surgical team in the operating room. The role involves preparing the sterile field, passing instruments to the surgeon, and assisting with positioning and draping patients during procedures.

Minimum requirements include a BLS certification within 30 days of hire and NBSTSA or NCCT Surgical Tech credentialing prior to hire. A high school diploma with experience or equivalent credentials is required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NBSTSA or NCCT obtained prior to hire date.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 1 year of experience in Surgical Services
• On call, holidays, and inclement weather are required
