Job summary

Jefferson County School District 509J seeks Certified Teachers for the 21st Century Afterschool Program across Bridges High School, Madras High School, JCMS, and WSK8. This district-wide, temporary position offers after-school hours and a focus on planning engaging activities for students.

Starting immediately, hours are Monday–Thursday 3:00–5:30 PM, with a salary of $37/hour. Preference is for current JCSD 509-J teachers; located in Central Oregon’s Madras area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree and valid TSPC license required.
• Oregon educator standards emphasis on character and ethics.
• Preferred Masters Degree and public school teaching experience.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to plan and facilitate academic, enrichment, and recreational activities for out of school time program for students in compliance with the provisions of the 21 st CCLC program grant. Each Instructor will work with their 21 st CCLC colleagues to plan and coordinate program activities, monitor students, and connect with families at their assigned site.

Education, Experience and Certification/License (Minimum Qualifications)

• BachelorDegree
• Valid TSPC license
• Have standards of moral character as required of all Oregon licensed educators (OAR 584-005-0005).

Preferred Qualifications

• MastersDegree
• Experience teaching in a public school
