Job summary

Jefferson County School District 509-J is seeking a 21st Century Learning Center Peer Tutor for the Madras area. You will help K-8 students with homework and assist teachers after school. The role requires transportation to Bridges High School or Warm Springs K-8 Academy and is contingent on fingerprinting.

The position is temporary, starts Sept 23-24 with orientation, and pays $14.55 per hour. Applicants must be high school students (15+) with solid academics and a record of good behavior.

Job Description

POSITION:21st Century Learning Center Peer Tutors

LOCATION: WSK8or Bridges High School. Please include location of choice.

*Peer tutors would be responsible for getting themselves to Warm Springs K-8 Academy. However, they could ride the bus home after the program.

CLOSING DATE: Until Filled

START DATE:Sept 23-24 Orientation/Training 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Program start date: Sept 28th

PROGRAM HOURS: Mondaymornings late start;Mon-Thurs after school until5:30PM

SALARY:$14.55/hr

Peer tutors would be working with students K-8 th grade, helping with homework and assisting the teachers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a509J High School 15+ years old, sophomore, junior, or senior
• Early Childhood Education Course Pathway preference
• Prior peer tutor experience
