POSITION:21st Century Educational Assistants Temporary positions

HOURS:Sept 23-24 Training/PD from 3:30PM - 6:00PM

Program Start Date: Sept 28

Monday morning late start, Mon-Thurs 2:30-5:30pm.

CLOSING DATE:Until Filled

LOCATIONS:WSK8, BHS, JCMS, MHS

SALARY: EA I $22/hr,

EA II $24/hr,

Lead EA $27/hr

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERENCES:

• Current employee preferred
• Must be “Highly Qualified” (See below)
• Experience working with students
• Ability to take the lead from the certified teacher

To be “Highly Qualified”, an Educational Assistant requires a high school diploma or the equivalent,and one of the following:

• An Associate's degree
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education - 72 credit hours
• Passed theDistrict Assessment for educational assistants in the areas of reading, writing, mathandpedagogy

*Employment contingent upon Fingerprinting. (The $87.50 fee associated with criminal history record checks & fingerprinting, shall be the responsibility of the individual at the time of hire.)
