Job summary

Estes Valley Recreation and Park District is seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Instructor to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and to deliver instruction under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor.

The role requires strong communication with children and adults, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to perform emergency actions. Training in the district's swim lesson program will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Preferred: High School Diploma
• American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications are required or obtained prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Monitors swimmers for safety during swim lessons.
• Completes swim lesson reports and records as directed by management.
• Follows safety directives and operates according to policy and procedures.
• Maintains accurate attendance records and prepares progress reports.
• Assists with equipment maintenance and classroom setup for lessons.
• Demonstrates lifeguarding and rescue techniques as needed.
• Communicates effectively with children, parents, and staff.
