Job summary

Emler Swim & Gym in Colorado Springs seeks a friendly swim instructor to teach life-saving water safety and make lessons fun for kids aged 6 months to 12 years.

You’ll train on the job with an experienced mentor, teach weekly lessons, and foster positive relationships with students and parents while keeping safety a top priority.

Set evening and weekend shifts; part-time roles welcome, with opportunities to grow into leadership and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Must love working with kids and bringing positive energy.
• Reliable, safety-minded, and professional with great communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
• Comfortable in the water and active on your feet.
• Previous teaching or swim experience a plus, but paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Training with an experienced mentor to learn our swim instruction methods.
• Teaching weekly lessons and cheering on student milestones.
• Creating positive, trusting relationships with students and parents.
• Keeping safety a top priority for everyone in and around the pool.
• Getting your steps in; this is an active role in and around the pool.
• Teaching classes for kids from 6 months to 12 years.
