Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA seeks a Surgical Technologist to function as the scrub person in the Operating Rooms and assist with procedures under the RN supervisor. You will prepare instrumentation, maintain sterile fields, and ensure proper asepsis and specimen handling.

Requirements include a Certified Surgical Technologist credential, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience in a surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed/certified as a Surgical Technologist (minimum).
• High School Diploma or GED; graduate of accredited surgical technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Functions as scrub person in the Operating Rooms and assumes other duties as assigned.
• Sets up cases with proper instrumentation and supplies prior to start of case.
• Maintains organized sterile field and ensures instruments are free from bioburden.
• Accurately reports supplies used to ensure proper charging.
• Meets overtime, call changes, and holiday coverage requirements.
