Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Sugar Land, Texas, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main OR. This full-time role offers a 3pm-11pm shift, 40 hours per week, CST and BLS required, with hospital OR experience preferred.

Position responsibilities include providing proficient perioperative patient care as scrub assistant under the surgeon’s direction, ensuring supplies and equipment readiness, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• License/Certification: BLS and NBSTSA/NCCT certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Experience/Knowledge/Skills: 2+ years of experience preferred; CST and related competencies as listed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates perioperative patient care knowledge and acts as first scrub in assigned areas.
• Provides readiness and case flow support with supplies and instruments.
• Maintains asepsis and optimal patient care in the OR.
• Adheres to policies, standards, and budget while ensuring safety.
• Promotes professional growth and mentors less experienced staff.
• Delivers compassionate, safe, personalized care in line with Memorial Hermann values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
