Tower Health’s Phoenixville Hospital is seeking a part-time Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. The role involves assisting during procedures, preparing sterile setups, handing items, moving patients, and maintaining OR readiness.

You will perform phlebotomy, monitor vitals, assist with newborn care when needed, and contribute to safe patient care under RN supervision. This position supports Women’s Health services and general surgical care.

Formación

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• Relevant experience in surgical or patient-care settings.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT within 6 months for new grads.

Job Summary

Positions Available:

• Part Time: (1) 12-hour shift per week 7P-730A; every third weekend and holiday rotation

• Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms.
• The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Will also assume duties on the unit to include but not limited to phlebotomy, vs, assisting with newborn care, and general patient care assistant duties.

Located in Phoenixville, PA, and a member of Tower Health, Phoenixville Hospital is a 144-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical services through emergency room visits, inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures and community outreach programs.
