Job summary

Dupont Hospital, LLC is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join the operating room team. The role assists the surgical team by preparing the sterile field, organizing instruments, and maintaining readiness for procedures. You will support infection control and ensure efficient OR operations.

Qualifications

• Technical School graduate in Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing is required or
• Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences is required.
• 0-2 years of operating room surgical technician experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and supplies per procedure.
• Maintains a sterile field and uses universal precautions throughout procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments efficiently during surgery.
• Handles instruments/equipment per policy, including cleaning and sterilization.
• Counts sponges, needles and instruments with the circulating nurse for safety.
• Assists with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN direction.
• Maintains physician preference cards and procedural documentation.
• Restocks supplies, cleans and returns equipment, and prepares rooms for cases.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
