Newsandtribune is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join a hospital-based OR team in the Chicago area. The role requires an active Illinois license and NBSTSA CST credential, with willingness to float within the health system.

The contract is 13 weeks with day shifts (10:00–18:30) and potential float to other facilities within a 50-mile radius. Candidates must have 2 supervisor references and be compliant with vaccination and lab-work timelines.

Qualifications

• Active IL license required (no pending licenses).
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years.
• Proof of COVID vaccination with no exceptions.
• Lab work completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Surgical Services/OR Tech unit assignment.
• 13-week contract length.
• Day shift schedule, 10:00–18:30, five 8-hour shifts.
• Willingness to float to other facilities within a 50-mile range.
• May be floated outside primary area using a team-based model.
• Floating notification may occur as little as 2 hours before shift.
• Candidates living outside a 75-mile radius may qualify for travel rates.
• No RTO on weekends or holidays; up to 5 RTO days with limits.
