Job summary

Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the CVOR to assist surgeons in cardiovascular cases. You will help prepare instruments, scopes, and equipment while upholding sterile technique and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has OR experience, CVOR exposure, and open heart experience, plus current BLS certification. Sunrise offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team in a leading private employer setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from high school or equivalent program.
• Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology, or completion of a training program for surgical technologists.
• Must have obtained certification from a nationally recognized certification board prior to hire, and will maintain certification without lapse throughout duration of employment.
• Current basic life support certification.
• 1-year experience in an acute care operating room setting is required.
• 1-year experience in CVOR is required.
• 1-year open heart experience is required.
• Vein Harvesting experience is required.

• Observes universal protocol requirements and surgical technologist standards of care.
• Cares for patients from neonate to geriatric.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Surgical Technologist - CVOR functions under the supervision of the unit Clinical Nurse Coordinator and performs tasks assisting surgeons in the preparation and handling of instruments, scopes, supplies and equipment during interventional operative cases, specifically cardiovascular. What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from high school or equivalent program
• Graduation an accredited school of surgical technology, or completion of a training program for surgical technologists administered by the US Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard required
• Must have obtained certification from a nationally recognized certification board prior
• to hire, and will maintain certification without lapse throughout duration of employment
• Current basic life support certification
• 1-year experience in an acute care operating room setting is required
• 1-year experience in CVOR is required
• 1-year open heart experience is required
• Vein Harvesting experience is required
