Job summary

Medical City Dallas Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist - Open Heart to assist surgeons, manage instrumentation, and maintain sterile technique in cardiovascular operating rooms.

The candidate should have a CST, graduate of an accredited program, and 2+ years of cardiovascular experience, with BCLS certification. This full-time position works Monday–Friday in an on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist
• Current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BCLS provider
• 2+ years of Cardiovascular experience in the role is required
• CV experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physician and Registered Nurses to serve in support role within OR.
• Responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases.
• Proficient in surgical environment as surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist

• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BCLS provider
• 2+ years of Cardiovascular experience in the role is required
