Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the surgical suite and assist during operations, collaborating with a skilled team and using cutting‑edge equipment. Requirements include BCLS within 30 days, graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, current CST or equivalent training, and CVOR experience (pedi or adult).

Qualifications

  • BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist.
  • Current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BCLS provider.
  • 2+ years of Cardiovascular experience in the role is required.
  • Pedi or Adult CVOR experience Required.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures.
  • Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety.
  • Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs.
  • Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns.
  • Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high‑performing, collaborative team environment.
