Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist for the CVOR. You will support cardiac procedures with scrub, instrument handling, and patient care in a high-volume setting.

The role requires CVOR and open-heart experience, NCS certification preferred, and 1 year in an acute care OR. Sunrise offers a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth in a leading regional hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate from high school or equivalent program
• Accredited school of surgical technology or approved training program
• Certification from a nationally recognized certification board
• Maintain certification without lapse during employment
• Current basic life support certification
• 1 year OR experience in acute care setting
• 1 year CVOR experience
• 1 year open heart experience
• Vein Harvesting experience

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with instruments, equipment, and supplies for safe, efficient procedures
• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting comfort and safety
• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments and handling specimens
• Monitoring equipment and patient status throughout procedures and acting quickly when needed
• Maintaining a sterile field and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures

• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety

• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the team

• Monitoring equipment and patient status throughout procedures, taking quick, effective action when needed

• Maintaining a sterile field, ensuring thorough room turnover, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from high school or equivalent program

• Graduation an accredited school of surgical technology, or completion of a training program for surgical technologists administered by the US Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard required

• Must have obtained certification from a nationally recognized certification board prior

• to hire, and will maintain certification without lapse throughout duration of employment

• Current basic life support certification

• 1-year experience in an acute care operating room setting is required

• 1-year experience in CVOR is required

• 1-year open heart experience is required

• Vein Harvesting experience is required
