Job summary

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support perioperative services. You will prepare patients and equipment for procedures and maintain sterile environments while assisting surgeons.

The role requires NBSTSA CST certification, BLS within 90 days, and a high school diploma. Full-time position with 12-hour shifts, and call/holiday rotation across a wide range of surgical cases.

Travel is required.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain environmental standards in the perioperative area.
• Provide technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment.
• Measure and pass medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions as needed.
• Support sterile technique and instrument handling throughout perioperative care.

The Surgical Technologist II performs various tasks supporting perioperative services within the Franciscan team. This position assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures, and maintaining environmental standards. This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment. The Surgical Technologist measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions.
