Position Details

• Schedule: PRN. Must be available on Wednesdays.
• Hospital: St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital
• Location: 412 N Monroe St Williamsport, IN

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies.
• Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• One or more of the following required:
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Additional Preferences

Certified Surgical Technician, sterile processing experience, BLS, 2 years CST experience.
