Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Surgical Technologist, you will be an active team member in the Operating Room, working under the supervision of the OR nurse. Your responsibilities include maintaining the sterile field, handling instrumentation, and supporting the surgical team during procedures.

What you will do in this role:

• Demonstrate knowledge of human development, assessment, treatment, and care of patients across different ages.

• Promote customer service initiatives.

• Function as a scrub person during surgeries.

• Perform technical skills and procedures competently.

• Assist in intra-operative patient care by performing assigned technical duties.

• Deliver compassionate, holistic care respecting patient rights and dignity.

Qualifications Needed:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.

• Surgical technologist students may be hired before graduation (within 3 months). Verification of completion is required upon graduation; failure to complete requirements may lead to termination.

• Ability to perform work requiring standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
