OrthoIndy Hospital Westfield, located in Westfield, Indiana, includes four operating rooms and provides outpatient procedures and surgeries! Our Westfield location also provides outpatient care for patients that includes an urgent care clinic, clinics, imaging and physical therapy.

General Statement of Duties:
Our Certified Surgical Technologists are responsible for performing a variety of duties in the operating room area to assist the surgical team, such as scrubbing on all types of orthopedic surgical procedures, preparing equipment and sterile instruments for use, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

At our Northwest Indianapolis and Greenwood hospitals, the types of cases you can expect are total joints, sports medicine, spine, hand/foot/ankle, trauma, and some oncology. We have inpatient units at our hospitals for patients undergoing more invasive procedures, such as disc replacement, spinal fusion or total joint replacement.

At our outpatient surgery centers in Brownsburg and Westfield, the CST assists with a variety of outpatient procedures and surgeries that require a 23 hour or less stay.
Essential Duties:

• Prepares sterile setup with instruments, supplies, equipment, and solutions/medications for cases as needed and assists surgeons in all types of procedures as required.
• Performs appropriate counts as established by policy and procedure.
• Reviews surgeon preference cards.
• Maintains aseptic environment for patients.
• Maintains clean, safe, and functional operation room environment and equipment.
• Assists professional personnel in the control of supplies and medications.
• Ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment used.

Requirements:
