Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel assignment based in the Johnson City, NY area. The role supports operating room teams in a fast-paced environment, performing sterile technique, scrubbing with surgeons, and ensuring equipment readiness.

The ideal candidate holds NBSTSA CST certification, BLS, and EPIC experience, with prior OR exposure and a HS diploma. Travel nursing experience is preferred, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA CST certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA/HSI or Red Cross) required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous OR/Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Scrub and assist surgeons with instruments, sutures, and equipment.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain an organized sterile field.
• Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Prepare surgical supplies and equipment according to preference cards.
• Handle and identify specimens according to policy.
• Assist with OR equipment checks and patient safety.
• Support efficient OR turnover between cases.
• Participate in rotating call coverage.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel opportunity in Walton, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong Operating Room experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain sterile technique and asepsis throughout surgical procedures.

Scrub and assist surgeons with instruments, sutures, and equipment.

Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain an organized sterile field.

Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.

Prepare surgical supplies and equipment according to preference cards.

Assist with OR equipment checks and maintain patient safety.

Support efficient OR turnover between cases.

Requirements:
