Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team in Rocky Hill, CT. This permanent, on-site role supports surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses to ensure surgeries are performed under optimal conditions.

You will prepare the OR, set up instruments, maintain sterile technique and assist before, during and after procedures. The position offers no nights or on-call requirements and includes strong benefits with a supportive, high‑caliber team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CST experience in ortho (required).
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• BLS certification current.
• Knowledge of OR protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, ensure equipment functions properly and safely.
• Assist surgical team during procedures.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and meds.
• Provide patient care activities under RN supervision before and after procedures.
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide assistance during surgeries.
• Ensure specimens are correctly handled and processed.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area and comply with health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in analysis of procedures for patient safety and interventions.

Job Details

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent position where you will play a critical role in patient care, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and registered nurses to ensure surgeries are carried out under optimal conditions. You will provide assistance before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely.
• Preparing the operating room and the patient for surgery and providing support to the surgical team during the procedure.
• Setting up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.
• Performing patient care activities, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, before and after surgical procedures.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and providing necessary assistance during surgeries.
• Ensuring all specimens are correctly handled and processed.
• Adhering to the highest standards of medical and professional conduct while providing care to patients.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
• Participating in the analysis of surgical procedure for patient safety, and recommending appropriate interventions.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in ORTHOPEDICS is REQUIRED.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Experience in an ambulatory surgery center is highly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment, including their use, sterilization, and maintenance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons.
