Job summary

Shrewsbury Surgery Center is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory team. The center performs ENT, General Surgery, GYN, Orthopedics, and more, with Joint Commission accreditation. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external candidates.

The CST will scrub, maintain sterile fields, and prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment while supporting quality improvement and patient safety. 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts, with hospital-caliber benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with Surgical Technician training.
• Current BLS certification as required.
• 1+ year of surgical tech experience.
• Prior ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and patient safety.

Responsibilities

Certified Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Shrewsbury Surgery Center

The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• BLS Certification
• 1+ years of Surgical Tech experience
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Work Schedule:

4 days a week, 10 hour shifts.

Pay Range:

$27.58/hr - $40.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.)
