Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Technologist at Metropolitan Surgery Center. The CST will scrub for procedures, maintain sterile fields, and prepare instruments and supplies as part of the surgical team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with Surgical Technician training, state certification as required, and preferred experience in ambulatory surgery centers. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Metropolitan Surgery Center

The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Starting Pay: $40.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
