Job summary

Tower Health's Phoenixville Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will assist during procedures, prepare and inventory sterile setups, and help move patients as needed, under RN supervision.

Candidates must hold CST certification (NBSTSA/NCCT) and have at least 1 year of surgical tech experience; a 2-year degree in surgical technology is preferred. On-site position with strong benefits.`

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required

Responsibilities

• Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arranges and inventories sterile setup for operations, and hands items to the operative team.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms.
• Surgical Technician provides surgical care under the direction of the Registered Nurse to meet patient outcomes.

• FT (3) 12-hour shifts M-F; on call & holiday rotation

**Candidate must live within 30 minutes from Phoenixville Hospital**

• Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms.
• The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree

Certification and Licensure

• BLS Certification
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT (New grads must obtain within 6 months of graduation) or has been employed to practice surgical technology according to House Bill 81

• Minimum 1-year Surgical Technologist Experience
