Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare sterile instruments, maintain a safe surgical environment, and ensure readiness for procedures, contributing to high-quality patient care.

The role offers a day shift, full-time schedule, and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Completion of an accredited surgical tech program and NBSTA certification within a year are required; CPR or timely acquisition is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited surgical tech training program.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of program completion.
• High School Diploma; CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days.
• 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.
