Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a part-time Surgical Technician to support the Operating Room in Silver Spring, MD. You will assist the surgical team, pass instruments, prepare the OR, and maintain sterile supplies, contributing to safe, efficient patient care.

The role requires CST certification, OR experience is preferred, and the schedule is 20 hours per week with day shifts and alternating weekends. Benefits and flexible options are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified.
• 1 year OR experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) designation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical Team to provide safe, appropriate patient care.
• Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Prepare the Operating Room with required supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and supplies as needed.
• Serve as surgical assistant when required.
• Assist in ordering and restocking OR supplies and instruments.

Work Schedule

• Employment Type: Part-Time
• Hours per Week: 20 hours per week
• Shift Type: Day Shift
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 am -5:30 pm two days per week, off days vary
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend rotation
• Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar
• On-Call Requirement: Monday-Sunday, Including holidays.

Pay Range: $29.08 - $42.17
