Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center is hiring a Certified Scrub Tech for the Operating Room. You will assist the surgical team, pass instruments, and prepare the OR with supplies while maintaining sterile technique.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program with certification (CST preferred, TS-C acceptable with two years of recent acute care hospital experience). Night shift with on-call duties.

Certified Scrub Tech

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Scrub Tech for our Operating Room who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical Team in providing a safe, appropriate, and culturally aware patient care
• Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies
• Prepare the Operation Room with all the necessary supplies
• Properly sterilize required instruments and supplies
• Serve as surgical assistant as needed
• Assist in order and restocking Operating Room supplies and instruments

Qualifications

• High school or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified
• 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) acceptable with 2 years of recent relevant experience in an acute care hospital

Work Schedule

• Employment Type: Full-time

• Typical Daily Schedule: 3 x 12s - 7pm to 7:30am Monday through Friday

Pay Range

Pay Range: $29.08 - $42.17 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
