Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the Premier Staffing - Surgical Services team. You will scrub for diverse specialties, maintain a sterile field, and lead Time-Out protocols to safeguard patients. You will also prepare implants and instruments tailored to each procedure.

Minimum requirements include NBSTSA credentialing, BLS, and relevant experience. This role offers multiple shifts, with travel to various Ascension facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NBSTSA required prior to hire date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job experience.

• Schedule: Multiple Shifts available | 40 hours per week
• Gross Rate up to $2,054 per week

• Expertly scrub for diverse specialties, anticipating surgeon needs and ensuring precise instrumentation delivery.
• Establish and maintain a rigorous sterile field to prevent surgical site infections.
• Perform meticulous surgical counts and lead "Time-Out" protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare specialized equipment, implants, and sterile supplies tailored to specific procedural requirements.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education And Work Experience

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Oklahoma locations requiring CV, Neuro, Ortho, Radial neck, ENT & Robotics experience.
• 1+ year of acute care experience.
• Applicable license and/or certification per contract requirements required.
