The Valley Hospital-Paramus, part of Valley Health System, seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams during procedures and ensure sterilization and turnover between cases. The role requires adherence to safety and infection control standards and collaboration with surgeons and nurses.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA certification, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• Minimum 2 years experience or completed internship through an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• CST credential preferred; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and registered nurses by performing routine, technical, and related duties during surgical operations.
• Provide safe and competent care to patients across age groups.
• Clean and process equipment; ensure turnover between cases with decontaminated instruments.
• Be the resource person for specialty including tray inventory and instrument maintenance.
